Dr. Louis G. Chmura, mastermind and Chief Egghead Officer of Egghead Ortho, has always been an early adopter and innovator and is passionate about helping others see possibilities beyond their current situation.  His newly launched venture for orthodontists worldwide is his legacy, the greatest gift he could leave to doctors and patients.

in private practice for over 35 years, Dr. Lou amassed more than 10,000 hours of continuing education, serves as an advisor to numerous companies, has lectured across the world, and has written dozens of articles and book chapters.  Dr. Lou has developed practical ways for dental professionals to incorporate soft-tissue lasers, 3D CBCT and screening, testing and treatment for obstructive sleep apnea into their practices.

Dr. Chmura founded Egghead Orthodontics as a coaching, consulting and teaching resource for orthodontists to evaluate and incorporate new technology, achieve great results in fewer appointments, and empower teams to achieve more than they ever thought possible.  Dr Lou developed the concept of “Complete Orthodontics”, incorporating patent airways, exceptional esthetics and functional bites in addition to aligning teeth.

Dr. Lou also enjoys golfing, traveling holding hands with Penny, his wife of 43+ years and spending time with his children (Louis John in Nashville, TN) and Claire (north of Detroit, MI) as well as his two grandchildren Brooke and Jackie and his two Shih Tzu’s Ginger and Maryanne.
